We didn’t have enough PWM, so here’s another trick! This time, without even patching a cable. BRENSO allows us to select the comparator source for the Pulse Shaper. It can be the yellow triangle wave (like last time), or the Triangle Shaper output. In this last case, when we change the Triangle Shaper settings, we also change the comparator source, and so the pulse width. We can then route the green LFO to the Triangle Shaper through the Modulation Bus, and thus achieve an internal PWM without cross-patching!

INGREDIENTS

  • BRENSO
  • USTA (Optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Patch BRENSO’s Pulse Shaper to your favorite output section.
  2. Set the green oscillator’s frequency scale to Low.
  3. Set the PWM source to the Triangle Shaper.
(Now the two waveshapers are in series, and changing the former also has an impact on the latter.)
  4. Open the Mod Bus and distribute the green sine wave LFO to the Triangle Shaper.
  5. (Optional) Write a sequence on the USTA sequencer and control the oscillator!
