We’ve talked about BRENSO’s Flip Sync, and that was fun. But there’s something twice as fun: a double Flip Sync!

By using the yellow oscillator’s Sync input and setting the PCB jumper to Flip, we can sync the yellow oscillator to an external one. Then, we can also sync the green oscillator to the yellow one!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 BRENSO
  • 1 FALISTRI
  • (Optional) 1 SAPÈL
  • (Optional) 1 USTA

DIRECTIONS

  1. Unmount the BRENSO and set the jumper on the PCB to Flip.
(It defines the behavior of the Sync input.)
  2. Set FALISTRI’s green generator to Loop and its time scale to Fast (tune it to taste).
  3. Patch its bipolar output to a CGM Channel.
  4. Patch BRENSO’s green and yellow oscillators to other CGM channels.
  5. Set FALISTRI’s yellow generator to Hold or Transient and its time scale to Long. Adjust the Rise and Fall values to taste.
  6. Patch its bipolar output to a section of the 333.
  7. Patch three copies of the envelope to the three channels’ VCAs.
  8. Set up a basic USTA sequence and patch CV A to a section of the 333 and gate A to FALISTRI’s yellow Trig/Gate input.
  9. Patch FALISTRI’s green EOR to BRENSO’s Sync input.
(Now the yellow oscillator is flip-synced to FALISTRI’s pitch.)
  10. Activate the Flip Sync.
(Now the green oscillator is flip-synced to the yellow one, also flip-synced.)
