- Clock Cross-Modulation #2
More messing around with USTA’s clock! Now CV B of track changes the clock tempo so that every stage has a different speed. It’s great for creating rubato and accelerando effects!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 USTA
- 1 SAPÈL
- 1 BRENSO
DIRECTIONS
- Set up a basic sequence as in CV, Gate, Length, but use SAPÈL’s clock output instead of the internal one (see Clock and Ratio).
- Enter the Track Menu and scroll until the Gate B Range, then set it to bipolar (+/- 5 V).
(USTA will now output also negative voltages from CV B.) - Set all the CV B values to 0.
- Patch CV B out to SAPÈL’s Gate/CV modulation input and set the Gate/CV modulation switch to the right.
- Now change the CV B values.
(A stage with a negative voltage will play slower, and one with a positive voltage will play faster.)
