Sometimes the key to an interesting patch is not what you add, but what you remove.⁠

Thanks to USTA, we could create an evolving rhythmic structure with just two BRENSO sine waves playing in unison.⁠

The key, here, is removing just one stage from one of the sequences.⁠

The results are two intertwined syncopations that will (almost) never get boring!⁠

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 USTA
  • 1 BRENSO
  • 1 SAPÈL
  • 2 CGM channels (C)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set up two identical sequences on tracks 1 and 2 of the USTA sequencer.
    (This video shows a basic setup. Make sure to make them syncopated!)
  2. Select Track 2’s Length and set some stages’ length to 0.
