- Usta Polymeter #1
Sometimes the key to an interesting patch is not what you add, but what you remove.
Thanks to USTA, we could create an evolving rhythmic structure with just two BRENSO sine waves playing in unison.
The key, here, is removing just one stage from one of the sequences.
The results are two intertwined syncopations that will (almost) never get boring!
Have you tried some minimalistic USTA configurations? If so, share your patches with us!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 USTA
- 1 BRENSO
- 1 SAPÈL
- 2 CGM channels (C)
DIRECTIONS
- Set up two identical sequences on tracks 1 and 2 of the USTA sequencer.
(This video shows a basic setup. Make sure to make them syncopated!) - Select Track 2’s Length and set some stages’ length to 0.
