We said that this input forces a generator’s behavior to loop. What we didn’t say is that it can work at audio rate! Let’s feed it with a square oscillator, then, and see where it can lead us. Beware, it’s not something that common!

(Also, we pushed everything a little further in this patch: we divided the green generator’s frequency with the frequency dividers, and we used it to drive another generator in Transient mode!)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 FALISTRI
  • 1 BRENSO (or another oscillator)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Set FALISTRI’s green generator to Transient mode and its time scale to Short.
  2. Patch BRENSO’s square wave output to FALISTRI’s Force Loop input.
(Now BRENSO will force the green generator to loop at audio rate, with really interesting sounds.)
  3. Patch FALISTRI’s green bipolar output to your mixer.
(In this patch we are using the first left channel of the QSC.)
  4. Patch FALISTRI’s green EOR to the first Flip Flop input.
(It will generate a sound an octave lower.)
  5. Patch the first flip flop output to the yellow generator’s Trig/Gate input.
  6. Patch the yellow generator’s bipolar output to another channel of your mixer.
(Here we are using the first right channel of the QSC set to Crossfade.)
  7. Blend the two signals to taste for a fat tone!
